A name giving ceremony celebrates the birth of a baby or welcomes adopted or step children.In this ceremony, parents can publicly share their hopes and dreams for their child. Often this ceremony involves special people in the child's family such as grandparents and siblings who take part in the ceremony by reading poems and affirmations.You may choose to have your name giving ceremony at any time, and the ceremony itself can be as short or as lengthy as you desire. I have lots of poems and readings for you to choose from to express the love you feel for your special child, or you may like to write something yourself.
